This printer is built with a chassis and the hardware of a Prusa i3 printer. The extruder was developed by Direct 3D. It is composed of a hopper allowing the feeding of polymer or PIM pellets. An extrusion screw surrounded by a heating cell allows the material to be extruded through a nozzle with a diameter ranging from 0.45 to 0.8 mm. Printing is carried out on a heating plate that can reach up to 100°C. The machine is placed in a closed chamber in order to be able to control the chamber temperature up to 55-60°C. The limiting print dimensions must be within a volume of 20x20x20 mm.
